Counties Manukau Sports Day Term 2

We recently took part in the Counties Manukau Sports Day, and although the weather wasn’t the best—with grey skies and occasional rain—it didn’t dampen our spirits. Everyone gave their best effort in the events, showing great teamwork, determination, and energy. Despite the chilly conditions, the day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of memorable moments. It was a great opportunity to come together, support each other, and just have fun.

Life Education Session with Harold the Giraffe – Term 1

Life Education Session with Harold the Giraffe

Today at school, we had a Life Education session with Harold the giraffe. We talked about different feelings and emotions, and how to recognise them in ourselves and others. We learnt that it’s okay to feel a range of emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, and excitement, and that talking about our feelings can help us feel better. Harold helped us understand how our body and brain work together when we feel different emotions. It was fun and really helpful to learn more about how to manage our feelings in healthy ways.

Using our iPads

Room 7 have been learning about our Kawa of Care and how to make sure we are in the right place at the right time. We have also been learning to look after our iPads. Last term, Matua Jeremy showed us how to use Explain Everything on our iPads. So today we had to create a new project of a house using shapes. We’ve been learning about shapes for maths too.

Here are some photos of some of the things we did today.
